Clubhouse

Coral Creek Club's 17,000 square-foot clubhouse, accentuates both indoor and outdoor spaces, offering members and guests panoramic views of the impeccably-maintained golf course and the surrounding 6,000-acre nature preserve where awe-inspiring bird and wildlife abound near the mangrove-fringed Coral Creek, a salt-water estuary flowing directly to the Gulf of Mexico. A relaxing outdoor back porch and featured atrium dining area have been incorporated into the overall clubhouse design to complement the area’s island lifestyle, providing a great backdrop to the challenging approach and finish of the par 4, 471-yard 18th hole.

Award-winning, Atlanta-based designer, Jacquelynne P. Lanham, designed the interior of the clubhouse for the ease and comfort of members and guests. Lanham is best known for bringing to life an understated southern elegance look and feel and has been featured in Coastal Living and Southern Accents magazines. The clubhouse’s stunning interior boasts a comfortable, cottage-like feel with a refined ambience, specially commissioned art installations, and rich, solid wood features, not typical of upscale clubhouses built today.

The exterior doors are custom-made solid mahogany; large, custom-built wood moldings were installed throughout the clubhouse; and decorative brushed cypress wood was used for the ceilings in the dining room, main bar, as well as the walls and ceiling of the men’s locker room. The sweeping atrium of the outdoor deck and feature gazebo dining area are covered with Brazilian ipe hardwood. Century-old, reclaimed, heart-of-pine, antique hardwood floors gloss in the living room and foyer, and 1,000-pound, heart-of-pine beams cross overhead in the men’s lounge. The old-world bar itself was specially built from antique, ebonized oak, offering members and guests a cozy retreat in which to relax and enjoy the spirit and camaraderie of fellow members and guests.

The clubhouse also features richly-appointed, full-service men’s and ladies locker rooms each with their own lounge and card rooms. The elegant ladies locker room is bright and airy and features small collections of lockers to enhance privacy; custom-made, hand-painted tournament boards; and generous use of marble in the wet areas.
